Mason Gross Dance Majors Take Center Stage at Senior BFA Concert
The Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University will hold a showcase for the graduating seniors and their dancing talents this November during the Senior BFA Concert. Organized by the students themselves, the concert will run the 13th, 14th, and 15th of November with varying talent each performance. Running at $10 for Rutgers students and $15 for the general public, the Senior BFA Concert takes place at 8 PM on Friday, 3 PM and 8 PM Saturday, and 3 PM Sunday.
The Senior BFA Concert is not limited to only seniors as there are performers from the other classes of Mason Gross. Rebecca Allen, a junior dance major at Mason Gross, is participating in an event like this for the first time.
“We’ve done a lot of rehearsals and there has been a lot of work put into this event. People are really excited and we have great expectations,” Allen said.
“There are 12 graduating seniors and 12 different parts. The concert is in three sections with a different show each night,” Allen said.
Funded and created solely by the Seniors, the Senior BFA Concert will be an important showcase for the students and their talents.
